How to Get Creative with Custom Stencils

Below is Ardian’s inspiring work where he has used the Custom Stencils tool to turn a simple lamp shade into an inspiring architectural screen study. You’ll never look at your everyday surroundings the same way again.
Here’s how.
1. Use the stencil tool to turn a photo of the object into a stencil.
2. Use the perspective tool to add architectural volumes to the stencil.
3. Using the stencil tool again, add details to the volumes. French curves are back!!
4. Transform a picture of clouds with the stencil tool to draw a sky.
5. Lastly add in people and trees to make the drawing come to life!

“I pursued this design as a way to test the capabilities of Morpholio’s Trace app and what better way to do it then to take an ordinary household item and to apply its design to a new idea. I was a bit reluctant in believing that the iPad & Apple Pencil would prove to be nearly as effective as my pen and paper.
