Breaking: Export to CAD
The feature you’ve been waiting for — Vector export — has arrived! Move your Trace plans into CAD, sketches into 3D, or elevations into your favorite design software. However you use Trace, it just got a lot easier to take your hand drawings to the next level!
Here’s how:
Step 1. Sketch
Draw something amazing!
Important Note: Vector export is only available for drawings created in the latest version of Trace. Please update here.

Step 2. Export
Tap Export. Then select “Vector” to save your drawing as a DXF file.

Step 3. Import
Import the DXF file into your favorite CAD, design, or 3D software including Autodesk AutoCAD, MicroStation, Vectorworks, SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, Archicad, Shapr3D, Adobe Illustrator, and more. From here you can advance your drawing, extrude it into a 3D model, or even use it to laser cut your design!
